Edinburgh Hot Spots

I moved here in 2022 and pretty much became obsessed with the city as soon as I landed. Since then I’ve had lots of friends and family to visit (yes, I am trying my best to convince them to move too) but after 1, 2 or 10 tours of Edinburgh I have nailed the perfect weekend tour!

Pack your trainers because this tour includes a lot of walking, but that’s the best way to see all the HOT SPOTS.

I decided to create a three colour Riso showcasing all of these spots in one print. So, what made the cut.

  1. Calton Hill, only a short walk to an amazing view over the City.

  2. Edinburgh Castle, you won’t be able to miss this one.

  3. The Botanical Gardens, a little walk from Stockbridge. It’s free to enter and the perfect way to spend an afternoon.

  4. Princes Street Gardens, in the heart of the city between the old and new town.

  5. Greyfriars Bobby, a statue of the dog that famously guarded his owner’s grave for 14 years! (rub his nose for good luck)

  6. Victoria Street, the colourful buildings line the cobbled street.

  7. Dean Village, take a walk to the iconic spot along the Water of Leith.

  8. Arthur’s Seat, an all time favourite, an extinct volcano next to the city- lots of routes to the top and through Holyrood Park.

  9. Scott’s Monument, dedicated to writer Sir Walter Scott situated in Princes Street Gardens.

Edinburgh has so much to offer, much more than these Hot Spots but this is a great start if you’re visiting for the first time.

This is the perfect little memento of your trip, shop the Print here or the minis here
